A short, three minute walk along the riverside pathway takes you straight onto the romantic, breathtaking shores of Loch Lomond and Balloch Castle Country Park. The property is conveniently situated in the very heart of Balloch village, from where there are beautiful scenic views of Loch Lomond, the river Leven and the surrounding hills, the largest being Ben Lomond, Scotland's most southerly munro. The nearby pleasure cruises, which leave from Balloch bridge, sail up the loch to Luss Village and pass close to Inchmurrin Island (pictured below).

On self catering holidays you will probably want to eat out a few times. There are several excellent resturants available and if you want to have a couple of glasses of wine with your meal there is no need to take your car as they are all within easy walking distance.

Balloch also provides cafes, Supermarket, chemist, post office, hairdressers and gift shops. A few minutes walk along Pier Road will take you to the famous Loch Lomond Shores and the national park visitor centre. There you will find many attractions including a regular farmer's market, Scottish themed restaurant and bar with panoramic views over Loch Lomond, Jenner's store, canoe, boat and bike hire.
